Avalon School of Music

Cello Lessons

Music lessons in-person, or online via Zoom
Here at Avalon we are dedicated to the success of our students. We have a wonderful cello teacher that will commit to the growth of you or your child's musical abilities. To be honest, most of our cello students are adults.
Since the cello can be considered a difficult instrument to begin playing, we take the time to fully introduce all of the correct technical elements of play including bowing, hand position, positioning the cello and more. We pay careful attention to your musical goals, and craft a program just for you.
Many parents ask us, which instrument is more difficult: the violin or cello? We find that students who have tried both instruments tend to say the cello is a little easier due to its more natural playing position. The position of the violin can feel awkward at first, however advanced violinists insist that it becomes natural over time.
We generally that students start cello on younger that 7 years old, due to the size of the instrument, and weight of moving the cello around between home and the school.
Are you looking for a music school near where you live ? We have students enrolled in music lessons from the local area including: Wylie, Murphy, Sachse, Rowlett, Allen, Lavon, Parker, Plano, Garland, Lucas, Richardson, Rockwall, St. Paul, Nevada, Copeville and Royse City.
