Avalon School of Music is a growing music school in Wylie, and we're looking for a piano instructor who can join our great organization. We teach all ages of students, from about 6 years old, through to adults, so the perfect candidate will have experience teaching all ages of students.

Piano Teacher

You'll need to have at lest 3 years teaching experience, and a music degree is preferred. You may substitute playing / performing experience for a degree, but we're looking for a good working knowledge of music theory & sight reading, and be able to demonstrate your technical skills. We highly value great communications skills, and the ability to make the lessons fun for the students. You will be asked to sight read some sample music during the interview process.

We're currently growing, and would like a teacher who can work 2 to 3 afternoons / early evenings, generally between 4-8 PM, depending upon your availability. Some instructors choose to work a couple of days per week, while others wish to work 3 or 4 days per week. We'll work around your schedule.

Pay rate is $28-33 per hour DOE.

This is a 1099 contractor position.

Violin Teacher
